The Most detrimental Food items in the World!

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

There are plenty of meals around that, even though they taste good, are very very bad for you. While we can identify many of these foods on sight–most of the food you’ll order at a fast food restaurant, for example, is quite enjoyable to eat but will do terrible things to your body and is made of far too many calories to even be considered healthy. But what about all of those foods that, on the surface, appear to be wise choices? What about the food that you order for your kids? Keep reading to learn what a few of the worst things in the world are to feed to your family members (or yourself).

Just about one of the most detrimental things in the world, which is kind of a shock, is macaroni and cheese. While the produce at home on your own version from Kraft or Annie’s is fairly benign, the mac and cheese you get at a cafe usually is not. The Kids’ Mac and Cheese food from California Pizza Kitchen, by way of example is frighteningly bad. This one particular food weighs in at more than a thousand calories, in excess of sixteen hundred milligrams of sodium and almost forty grams of saturated fat! That is not even a tiny bit healthy.

How often have you ordered one of those frozen pot pies from your grocery store? These look like mostly wholesome last minute meals but they are really full of calories that you don’t need. Stouffer’s pot pies, to apply one example, keep over eleven hundred calories, sixty grams of fat and almost eighteen hundred milligrams of sodium. If you are attempting to shed pounds you could end up eating all of your daily calories with just this one food item!

You probably think that a vegetarian sandwich must be among the healthiest things you can order from a fast food place, right? The simple fact is that due to the dressings and also other condiments that get added to them, they are often just as bad as something loaded with meat. When you buy a vegetarian sandwich from Blimpies (as an example), you’re purchasing nearly twelve hundred calories, sixty grams of fat and more than thirty five hundred milligrams of sodium. How could that ever become considered healthy?

A salad should be healthy, right? This is typical thought at any rate. When we would like something easy and healthy we usually turn toward a salad to fill us up with food that is good for us. It might surprise you then to learn that some salads are not all that healthy. TGI Fridays’s Santa Fe chopped salad, to use one example, includes nearly eighteen hundred calories. This is probably because the salad is the size of a large dinner plate but consider it: do you want all of your caloric intake for the day to be used up by this one salad?

Sadly, the simple truth is that the food we buy from restaurants or when we are in a rush is just not going to be as wholesome as the food that we cook for ourselves at home. Cooking at home might feel boring or bothersome but if you are trying to lose weight and get healthy, this is the best thing that you can do for yourself.
